Ashley Mawyer
Ms. Mawyer graduated from Thomas Dale High School in 2007 and has earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.A. in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University. She has been a Chesterfield County teacher since 2012, and is currently teaching 2nd grade at Grange Hall Elementary School. She was a member of color guard in high school and college and has experience with flags, swing flags, air blades, and rifles.
Bill Buck
Mr. Buck serves as “upper brass coach” for the Titan Marching Band, assisting with individual and group brass instruction. After graduating from Manchester High School in 1962, he attended East Carolina University where he received his Bachelors of Music Education degree in 1966 and Masters of Music Education degree in 1972. He retired in June, 2005 after teaching 39 years, all in Chesterfield.
During his tenure in Chesterfield, Mr. Buck taught at Matoaca High School, Thomas Dale High School, Monacan High School, Chester Middle School, Carver Middle School,Middle School, and Bailey Bridge Middle School. He is an active adjudicator for band festivals in the mid-Atlantic region and is an active guest conductor and clinician of bands.
Kevin Crawford
Kevin Crawford coaches the Titan Band percussion section. He has been a percussion instructor in Henrico and Chesterfield County for 17 years. He was an assistant percussion instructor at Hermitage High School for 2 years and lead percussion instructor at Thomas Jefferson for one year. Kevin was an assistant instructor at James River High School for 4 years and served as Director of Percussion at James River for 10 years. He was also the director of James River’s indoor percussion ensemble Rapidfire.
Erica Eaton
Erica is from Chesapeake, VA and is a 2005 graduate of Deep Creek High School and a 2009 graduate of James Madison University where she earned her bachelors in Instrumental Music Education. She has taught guard at the JMU Summer Band Camps and is the choreographer for several outstanding high school guards around the state. She is currently the band director at Robious Middle School.
Marcus Grant
Marcus started his musical life as a singer at age 4 and has since grown to love and adore music and musicians of every type. Marcus is a young teacher, trumpet player, and composer pursuing a masters degree in Music Performance at the Jacobs School of Music. Composing is a strong passion; Marcus specializes in Wind Ensemble, Chamber Ensemble, and Marching Arts music. To his credit, Marcus' compositions and arrangements have been performed on numerous football fields, concert halls, conferences, and seminars around the world. Marcus is the official Composer and Arranger in Residence with The Brass Roots, located in Pittsburgh, PA. Above everything else, Marcus devotes his life to the promotion and enrichment of quality music education for young people. He served this year as our music arranger and band camp staff.
